 This is due to a mistake in a [https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/commit/65764f696939ba4614131a2b385cfa7fa38e7d32 recent change],
 which in turn was trying to fix [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/56624
 another problem].

 I think I know a fix to both problems, but it may take me a day or two to
 find the time to implement it.
