 Just as a data point I thought I'd install it on my day-to-day system, and
 it installed from source cleanly without an issue:

 $ sudo port -v installed opendx
 The following ports are currently installed:
   opendx @4.4.4_4 (active) platform='darwin 10' archs='x86_64'
 date='2018-06-22T14:30:35-0700'
 }}}
