 cjones051073: I think you will find that it is unlikely you'll get a
 strong consensus, because as the port maintainer you understand the
 situation better than other people. As the port maintainer, I'd choose an
 option among those available based on the discussion, and submit a pull
 request on GitHub that closes the ticket.
