 There is something amiss with fig2dev @3.2.7:

 -dColorImageFilter=/DCTEncode -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -o

 }}}

 The latest version of fig2dev, version 3.2.7a,  does not have this
 problem.  A patch for the Portfile to update to version 3.2.7a is
 attached.
