 The latest available version of xfig [and fig2dev] is 3.2.7a.  The current
 MacPorts version is 3.2.6.  I built the latest version by merely changing
 the checksum values. There are patches associated with version 3.2.6, so
 someone who knows what they are for should review them to insure they are
 still relevant.

 One other issue... Running "make check" from the build directory fails:
