 Is there anything non-standard about your system of the way you are using
 MacPorts?

 This is just a guess, but you could try:

 sudo port clean qscintilla-qt5 octave
 sudo port selfupdate
 sudo port selfupdate
 sudo port install octave +atlas
 }}}
