 Both exporting PDF from within xfig and using fig2dev to generate a PDF
 file still give the above error, after an uninstall and reinstall to
 version 3.2.7a.

 Error during EXPORT.  Messages:
  sh: -q: command not found
  Error in ghostcript command
  command was:  -q -sAutoRotatePages=None -dAutoFilterColorImages=false
 -dColorImageFilter=/DCTEncode -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -o
 'snark.pdf' -
