 I'm checking this out now -- I have a VM rebuilding the dependents to see
 what breaks.

 So far the only issues I've found are texlive-bin (which is surprising
 since the 2018 version normally builds with its own copy of poppler 0.63
 -- still need to check it out) and inkscape.
