#56540: uninstall gcc48 failed

 I run High Sierra latest versions of Xcode, OSX and MacPort

 port upgrade outdated stops on gcc48 stating that it is incompatible with
 the os
 I proceeded to uninstall gcc48 without errors.
 However, port upgrade outdated stiil stops with the same message.

 Any help is appreciated.
