 Thanks Marius. FYI, I feel that adding new patch files without
 maintainer's involvement is close to over-stretching the definition of
 `openmaintainer`. I prefer to be kept in the loop and have the opportunity
 to take a look before it ends up being merged. (In this specific case I
 would have just said to go ahead and commit but it might have not been the
 case, for one reason or another.)
