 There is much information by following the link to the homebrew issue in
 <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/56322#comment:26>. Looks like Ionic has
 a patch that he uses in his own repo that can fix it. AFAICT, upstream is
 pondering reverting the commits that caused this (a not-very-portable
 stack protector mechanism for Rust).
