 No doubt this is supposed to work. Here's the bit from `man ld`
 {{{
     -syslibroot rootdir
                  Prepend rootdir to all search paths when searching for
 libraries or frameworks.
 }}}
 Still trying to sort out exactly where the bug is. Is it in `ld`?
