Comment:

 I'm afraid that updating {{{root_select}}} and running the {{{port
 select}}} commands you gave hasn't worked.

 {{{sudo port select root none}}} removes {{{/opt/local/include/root}}},
 but {{{sudo port select root root6}}} puts it back again.
