 I have installed the current biblatex-biber (2.11_0) on my Mac (OS X
 10.13.6) and tried to use it, but the run fails with the error

 ERROR - Error: Found biblatex control file version 3.3, expected version
 3.4.
 This means that your biber (2.11) and biblatex (3.7) versions are
 incompatible.

 This gives the impression that the port is not built correctly. To add to
 the confusion, the biblatex.sty I find with kpsewhich contains the lines
 {{{\def\abx at version{3.11}}}}
 and
 {{{\def\blx at bcfversion{3.4}}}}, suggesting that the versions are not
 correctly identified.
