 I believe this issue has been fixed.\\
 In particular, octave [https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/commit/aec14792b8457e3c77b5c90a3c402a88ba9eb41b#diff-
 ee42da86e52de9b0680a5402ffdb07a1R102 no longer asks GCC for the library
 path names].
