 For linux cross compilation, I think the best bet is to use Docker cross-
 compiler images rather than to try and compile it on macOS. Reason being
 that HFS+ by default does not use case-sensitive filenames, which will
 fail in subtle ways (notably when compiling the Linux kernel).
