Comment (by mopihopi):

 I don't see why +x11 would be required.  It is working fine without x11 or
 OpenGL as long as apple_media is not enabled in gstreamer1-gst-plugins-
 bad.  Adding OpenGL for apple_media doesn't make sense since apple_media
 doesn't work with +x11.
