 May I please ask you to submit a pull request to
 [https://github.com/macports/macports-base/ macports-base]? I'm just
 randomly browsing through tickets and I'm not senior enough to be able to
 tell whether there would be any undesirable side-effects. Opening a PR
 will give this patch way more visibility and the right people will look
 into it.

 If you need to decide whom to CC for base-related patches, you'll get the
 best idea by looking at git history (the number of people involved is very
 limited).
