 My personal opinion - the goals that Macports GHC port maintainers set for
 it, are not attainable in practice - which is why the "upgrade" request is
 four years stale. Complete lack of API stability in Haskell ecosystem is
 another big factor why it's so difficult to maintain a decent port.
