 Looking back at my prior blacklist comment & pre-compiled binary: do we
 need the Xcode clang to be able to build cmake when doing bootstrap, since
 the pre-compiled binary won't be available yet (somehow)? I'm not clear on
 how these fit together. blacklisting would, of course, mean that a pre-
 compiled binary would be required for any OS we target, which might not be
 the way we want to go here ...
