 someday we will need to choose a version of cmake to be 'cmake-bootstrap'.

 Just trying to stave that off a bit.

 When that time comes, cmake-3.9 might be a good choice as it builds so
 easily, being the last that didn't need c++11, and has no truble building
 clang-3.7, which so far is all we need to go to current software.

 I already have a cmake39 port myself that could become cmake-bootstrap
 when we need it.
