 My interest is in removing webkit-gtk/webkit-gtk-2.0, for reasons stated,
 along with any ports that have a dependency on them that can't be removed,
 disabled or upgraded to something more recent.

 Along those lines, looking at the uzbl Makefile, it appears to purport
 that it will build with gtk3 and webkit-gtk3 (which provides
 webkitgtk-3.0).  Have you tried that?
