 I'm encountering the same errors as OP with the current version (6.16.00):

 /opt/local/libexec/root6/include/root/TStorage.h:86:4: error: use of
 undeclared identifier 'R__likely'
    ClassDef(TStorage,0)  //Storage manager class`
 }}}

 I set `ROOTSYS` to `/opt/local/libexec/root6`. But this makes no
 difference compared to `/opt/local/`.
