 Thanks for confirmation, I'm happy that you found a way around the
 problem.

 True, if you don't have admin rights, you don't get the binaries. That's
 slightly unfortunate, but it explains the behaviour.

 I'm tempted to close the ticket: not because this would not be a real
 issue, but because I cannot imagine what I could possibly do until
 upstream fixes the problem. (We could do workarounds like modifying the
 tarballs, but they would all be ugly and suspicous.)
