 In my read it looks like the compiler is having to choose between "float"
 and "long double", and can't find a "double" version ... but I'm still
 parsing through the headers to figure that out. I think I'll put this on
 hold until I'm back in the office with a 10.5 boot computer to do testing
 / evaluation on. I thought I had cmake working on that computer, but maybe
 not?
