 Thanks for clarification about "beta" status and that it is really just
 4.x with qt5. As for the use of a "dedicated prefix", the maintainers need
 to make the call as to the way they want to do it but they really ought to
 add a note at the end of the install about what they did and the need for
 the user to adjust their PATH.
