New description:
When I try to run ./configure to install from source, it errors out with:
checking for existence of /Users/nate fortner/macports-
base/vendor/tcl/unix/tclConfig.sh... loading
{{{
./configure: line 1603: /Users/nate: No such file or directory
configure: error: configure failed for vendor/tclx
}}}
I can tell that this error is caused by the space in my username. It does
not know how to process the fact that there is a space in the directory
path.
