As described above, `port outdated` shows

gcc8 8.3.0_0 < 8.3.0_4
libgcc 1.0_0 < 2.0_1
libgcc8 8.3.0_0 < 8.3.0_5

on my box. However, doing `sudo port upgrade libgcc` as recommended above
still results in
