 I periodically have emacs app hang with a beach ball busy and then crash
 if not force killed.  This happens in 26.2 and was also observed in 26.1

 Error summary is:

 *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSGenericException',
 reason: '-[NSApplication runModalForWindow:] may not be invoked inside of
 transaction begin/commit pair, or inside of transaction commit (usually
 this means it was invoked inside of a view's -drawRect: method.)'
 terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
 abort() called
