 This would be a new ticket.

 MacPorts is now trying to build gcc9 / libgcc9 using clang-3.4 as the
 compiler. This is a change.

 Also, the mods to the cctools port mean that clang is being used as the
 assembler in most cases.

 These two changes have ripple effects.
