Comment:

 True, but updating it right now to its latest version will break {{{py-
 spyder-devel}}}. I'd need to update (or patch) that port first, but
 updating is not complicated due to a new dependency on the {{{py-pyobjc}}}
 framework.

 Regarding the Python 3.8 support: there are a few upstream issues with
 PY38 dependencies (e.g., {{{py-rope}}} and {{{py-python-jsonrpc-
 server}}}), which do not pass their test-suite; so I've been reluctant to
 add py38 subports for now. I'll try and take a look in the weekend to see
 if any of that has cleared up in the meantime.
