 @ryandesign: I didn't think so, but it's possible. I've taken drastic
 action to try to resolve other dependencies in the past, and not all of
 these have been 100% clean uninstalls.

 Related: does MacPorts retain a human-readable log of all port
 installation/upgrade/uninstallation requests?
