 Sorry, I forgot to respond earlier.

 I tried again today after cleaning, uninstalling leaves, and so on, and it
 worked this time. {{{pandoc}}} still installed {{{stack}}} as a
 dependency, but this time {{{stack}}} looked at our mirror, found the
 binary, installed it, and after that {{{pandoc}}} installed from binary as
 well. Afterwards, {{{stack}}} was removed with the leaves.
