 Thanks, Ken,

 I had seen that suggestion on another ticket on a similar error for
 another port, and had previously replaced {{{ld64}}} with {{{ld64
 +ld64_xcode}}}.

 The results of {{{port -v installed | grep ld64}}} is

 {{{
   ld64 @3_1+ld64_xcode (active) platform='darwin 17' archs='x86_64'
 date='2019-10-11T12:44:48-0400'
   ld64-xcode @2_1 (active) platform='darwin 17' archs='x86_64'
 date='2019-04-01T09:57:02-0400'
 }}}

 but the attempt to reinstall git after cleaning yields the same error
 {{{ld: unexpected token: !tapi-tbd-v3 file
 '/System/Library/Frameworks//Security.framework/Security.tbd' for
 architecture x86_64}}} .
