 Still unable to build, Catalina, Xcode 11.  Clean install of MacPorts and
 Xcode production releases on general release of MacOS, with a new user
 just to cover any missed directories.  Tomorrow I'll do a full clean
 install of MacOS.  MacBook Pro late 2013 model.
