 I have also encountered this problem. My port pdftk is still broken after
 rebuilding it more than 3 times. I am attaching the output from \\
 `sudo port -d -y rev-upgrade >& pdftk_rev-upgrade_log_2019-10-23a.txt`

 The punchline appears to be: "pdftk is using libstdc++ (this installation
 is configured to use libc++)".

 This is with MacPorts 2.6.2 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4.
