 on ElCapitan with newest build of mpv i would get the following error


 mpv /Volumes/NewerTechHDD/How\ to\ limit\ Time\ Machine\ backup\ size\ on\
 Time\ Capsule\ -\ Tutorial.mp4
  (+) Video --vid=1 (*) (h264 1152x720 30.000fps)
  (+) Audio --aid=1 --alang=eng (*) (aac 2ch 44100Hz)
 Assertion failed: (group_index >= 0), function
