 I did build the current wine on 10.6.8 myself, and have it around here
 somewhere, with a couple of minor patches, but one of the add-on programs,
 mono I think, generated errors. And that one needs to be rebuilt using
 some kind of windows ming compiler setup -- so I threw in the towel there
 as it just wasn't worth that much work to me to do it for something that
 was never going to be upstreamed.

 On that same box I can instead run ubuntu 20.10 with all the latest wine
 installs, qt 5.15, the current Firefox, Chrome, and Zoom -- so I just do
 that instead.
