 if you could post up {{{port -v installed}}} that would give us better
 info about what trouble you have found yourself in, architecture-wise.

 You should (on Apple Silicon) specifically not be using {{{+universal}}}
 in Dec 2020, as there are likely a large number of ports that will fail to
 build universal.

 Still not sure what is happening to you -- trying to sort you out. You
 should have (ideally) only arm64 arch ports installed, and nothing
 installed {{{+universal}}}.
