 I looked over your github branches, and initially I have had some kind of
 trouble building libcxx -- I'll try again.

 I did get a full install of libc++/libc++abi version 7.1.0 bootstrapping
 from bare metal using gcc7 to build it, on 10.6. That might be useful.
 I'll see how that goes.

 For now, the path Jeremy has plowed using {{{gcc-4.0 -> apple-gcc-4.2 ->
 clang-3.4 -> libc++ -> clang-3.7 -> clang-5.0 -> libc++ with tls}}}
 remains our rather long, circuitous, but workable path on 10.5+. Hopefully
 we can make that go for 10.4 as well.
