Comment:

 MacPorts 2.6.2 isn't compatible with Big Sur beta. Build the latest code
 from our git repository master instead.

 Specifically, I think the problem you're seeing was fixed by
 [1ac9a684462c15f33fd4d58229f8de62a0f63856/macports-base].

 Also, bear in mind that information about prerelease macOS versions should
 be kept out of public communications channels. See wiki:FAQ#prerelease.
