 Try things out now, I think; see how it works at this point. Looks
 cleaner.

 MacPorts is quite robust, but it is breakable and it's not always obvious
 exactly how that happens -- best not to hack around with SDKs and things
 too much until you have a deep understanding of how, for example, SDK
 paths might be baked into PERL and PYTHON build tools...for example.
