 There's an [https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pygobject/-/issues/375 upstream
 bug report] but it's also from a MacPorts user so it's not clear whether
 this is a MacPorts-specific problem or an upstream one.

 We're several versions behind on py-gobject3. Maybe [ticket:59854
 updating] would help?

 This bug is the reason why I can't use python 3.8 for [ticket:60574
 MyPaint 2].
