Comment (by ryandesign):

 Running `sudo port upgrade outdated` would run into the problem. Running
 `sudo port upgrade mypaint-brushes` first would avoid the problem. I
 hadn't considered that when I committed the updates yesterday. I'll add a
 fix for it shortly.
