 I started working on this, however I encountered an obstacle.  The
 ghostpdl variant (recently added by me) fails to build with version 9.51+
 due to a missing header file.

 I have filed a bug in the GhostScript bug tracker asking about this.

 Any suggestions for how to fix or work around this issue are welcome.
