 I set up one of my systems a +quartz and started to run a build of gnome.
 It wasn't long before the errors started coming.

 gedit is broken, but looks fixable.

 Here's one of the big ones that has a lot of ports relied on that won't
 build quartz -- yelp <https://trac.macports.org/ticket/55345> I tried (as
 outlined), also another quite knowledgeable user tried and failed.

 And if we ever did get yelp to build and work, we'd only then be able to
 see what comes next.
