Comment:

 The FAU server's hardware has been repaired and is back to normal so I'll
 close this.

 I'll leave rsync-origin.macports.org pointing to the private server for
 now since it seems to be able to handle that amount of load.

 Feel free to file other tickets for the status page and other ideas
 mentioned above.
