 Gcenx has taken this simple fix and really run with it over at his wine-
 macports fork. He has builds and installers for all kinds of wine versions
 there, all built using this macports setup. The latest seems to be wine
 5.9 at present, and runs on Catalina.

 Although the whole setup is built with macports, it's currently only
 available to homebrew users as taps -- which is very sadly ironic, but
 more power to him anyway!

 It's a shame macports users can't access any of the fruits of our labours
 at present...although there is a package there you can just decompress and
 install, built with macports, but now independant of it.
