 I missed that, sorry.  Good catch.  Indeed, that will gum up the works on
 case insensitive file systems.

 @avillasenorh, by any chance, is /opt/local in a case insensitive file
 system on your new MacBook Pro?

 {{{GDAL}}} 3.1.1 will include this new fix.  When released, I will update
 on Macports, if someone else does not get to it first.
