 The file shared-mime-info-2.0/data/shared-mime-info-spec.xml specifies
 that its [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Document_type_definition dtd] is
 `-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.1.2//EN` and that it can be downloaded from
 http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.1.2/docbookx.dtd. Tools like xmlto
 need the dtd to work with the document, and if a local copy of that dtd
 isn't installed they have to download the dtd. That seems to be what's
 happening in your case for an unknown reason, and the download is failing
 for another unknown reason.

 You're right that there shouldn't need to be any network download
 happening here, because the docbook-xml-4.1.2 port should have already
 provided a copy of this dtd and it should be in your catalog. Can you
 check if it is? What's the contents of /opt/local/etc/xml/catalog?
